Join MP3 files together
That may not be something that immediately sounds useful, but it does have its uses. You can create a seamless audiobook, merge ripped CD tracks into one or make a mix for someone (a mix where they can't skip tracks!)
Merge MP3 can import ID3 tags from any of the tracks being merged, or you can write a new one yourself, and listen to the tracks in the program. There is no limit to the size, length or number of tracks than can be merged.
The interface is very simple, and merging files is super fast.
Merge MP3 does what it claims perfectly and efficiently. However, because of the its limitations, it won't be for everybody. Programs such as Audacity can also merge MP3s, while also allowing you to edit, cut and mix them together, although for simple joining of MP3s, this is much easier to use.
If you want to join MP3s together, Merge MP3 is a simple program that does exactly that very well, and no more.

Problem with Merge MP3 and small players.
After merging hundreds of pieces of classical music (individual movements), all of which play fine on a PC using Media Monkey or Windows Media Player, I discovered a fatal flaw: when these merged pieces are placed on a small player (Sansa or Barnes and Noble Nook), I found they either 1. crash the player; or 2. have horrible noise exactly at the merge point. Until this problem is fixed, this program should not be used and has effectively cost me hundreds of hours.
Pros:
Very simple to use. Appears to work. More

Files merge great, but....
I used this to merge files together so that I can load them into a flash player on my client's website.
The files merged fine, and Windows Media Player was able to play the full contents of the new merged files perfectly, but when I loaded them onto the website, only the first minute (give or take) played on the website.I then downloaded Audacity and tried merging there. It took longer because I have to manually string the files together, but the new merged files play perfectly on the website. This means that because of MergeMP3, I lost about a week in project time because I now have to go and fix it's screw up.Not impressed. First impression about Merge MP3 tool..
This tool merged 8 pieces only once. Ten later attempts lead to silent craches of the program. It's too raw to be used with pleasure. Sorting/Movement of pieces in active list doesn't work, too.
Still, the user interface is simple and it's a tool to make one operation (with no bells and whistles) - that's definetely good. More
